| Bagatelle No.25 WoO.59 (Für Elise) | ![]() |
Too famous for me to even talk about :P |
| Choral Fantasy Op.80 C-Minor | ![]() |
I really like how this piece is structured. It begins with a soft solo piano, then slowly works its way up to the orchestra, which is finally taken over by the phenomenal chorus. Here's where the "magic" truly lies, because the chorus is absolutely stunning & beautiful. Can't get enought of it!!! |
| Piano Sonata No.14 Op.27 No.2 (Moonlight Sonata) Mo2(06:00) Mo3(08:05) | ![]() |
Despite the enormous success of the first movement in popularizing the genius of Beethoven, I find it much more interesting listening to the second & third movements. And as the title suggests, this piece should best be heard when you're lying down on the grass, looking up at the moon, & enjoying the best music ever written. |
| Romance for Violin & Orchestra No.2 Op.50 F-Major | ![]() |
No doubt why romantic music often sounds so much better when it's played on a violin!!! |
| Symphony No.5 Op.67 C-Minor Mo2(07:00) Mo3(16:07) Mo4(20:25) | ![]() |
Strong and powerful!!! This is another composition that shows what a genius Beethoven really was. |
| Symphony No.7 Op.92 A-Major Mo2(14:42) Mo3(23:41) Mo4(32:56) | ![]() |
Mo1: Majestic, & absolutely fantastic (I truly enjoy this movement the most). Mo2 == King's Speech :P Mo3: Full of joy & surprises. Mo4: Delightful sensation, which gives us a kinda similar mood like the one that we get from Dvorak's dances. |
| Symphony No.9 Op.125 D-Minor Mo2(16:05) Mo3(25:56) Mo4(41:02) | ![]() |
This piece definitely deserves to be considered as the greatest of all of classical music. Not only that, the last movement (the chorus) is probably the best chorus ever written in history of mankind!!! |
| Variations on an orginal theme (Turkish March) - Op.76 | ![]() |
Joyful & quite catchy!!! However, the music in this piece is a bit predictable & gets boring after a while. |
| Violin Concerto Op.61 D-Major Mo2(25:00) Mo3(35:18) | ![]() |
Absolutely beautiful!!! This is another evidence for why violin concerto should be regarded as the best genre in all of classical music. The third movement left a partcularly strong impression to me, as it gave me the hope & confidence during my stressful IB exams :) |
